The UK's Conservative Party is once again under the spotlight, this time after an MP is alleged to have watched pornography in the House of Commons and in a committee room.
Sky News reports the party's chief whip has ordered an investigation into allegations that a Tory MP watched porn on his phone while in the Houses of Parliament.
In a statement to Sky News, the whip's office confirmed that an investigation has been launched.
"[The whip] has asked that his matter be referred to the Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme (ICGS),"
"Upon the conclusion of any ICGS investigation, the chief whip will take appropriate action."
The accusation was made during a meeting of the female grouping of the 1922 group of Conservative backbench MPs.
Around 50 to 60 female Conservative MPs are believed to have been present at the meeting.
Sky News reports that two individuals in attendance told Chief Whip Chris Heaton-Harris how they had witnessed an MP watching pornography.
It comes as many UK politicians - including Prime Minister Boris Johnson - condemned a misogynistic claim in a newspaper by a Tory MP about Labour MP Angela Rayner.
The claim - which Rayner condemned as "categorically untrue" - suggests she tries to distract Johnson by crossing and uncrossing her legs in the chamber.
Speaker of the House Sir Lindsay Hoyle called the story published in The Mail on Sunday "misogynistic and offensive".
