Award winners, football players, dancers and long-serving teachers - these are the victims of the Robb Elementary School mass shooting in Texas.
Mothers, fathers, grandparents, siblings, cousins, uncles and aunts have shared their heartbreaking tributes to the 21 victims of a horrific massacre that has shaken the world.
On May 24, an 18-year-old opened fire in what became one of the deadliest US school shootings since a gunman killed 26 people in a rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut in December 2012.
Many parents were at the school before the tragedy unfolded, watching an award ceremony many of the victims were recognised at. Hours later a parent's worst nightmare occurred.
Uziyah Garcia, 8
Uziyah has been the youngest victim confirmed dead in the shooting.
His grandfather said he loved playing football.
"The sweetest little boy that I've ever known," his grandfather Manny Renfro told AP News. "I'm not just saying that because he was my grandkid.
"We started throwing the football together and I was teaching him pass patterns. Such a fast little boy and he could catch a ball so good."
Xavier Javier Lopez, 10
Xavier was the first student victim to be identified.
His mother was at his award ceremony hours before the shooting. She had no idea this would be the last time she saw her son.
Xavier's aunty posted to Facebook asking for help to locate the boy when the incident unfolded. She later updated the post to reveal he had died.
"He has been found, fly high handsome angel," she wrote. "Til we meet again."
Makenna Lee Elrod, 10
Makenna's aunt has described her as "beautiful, funny, smart, and amazing".
"Words cannot express the pain my sister and our family is going through," she wrote. "She had the biggest heart and loved her family and friends so much.
"Her smile would light up a room."
Jailah Nicole Silguero and Jayce Carmelo Luevanos, 10
The pair were cousins killed in the mass shooting.
Jailah had told her father the night before the shooting she wanted to stay home the next day. By Tuesday morning she had forgotten about it and went to school for the last time.
Jailah's mum confirmed their deaths in a Facebook post.
"I'm so heartbroken," she wrote. "My baby I love u so much mamas don't ever forget that watch over me daddy and your sisters and big bro.
"Fly high baby girl."
Rojelio Torres, 10
Rojelio is another victim of this horrific crime. His family reportedly had to give a DNA test to identify their child because of the extent of the damage done to his body.
His mother told ABC News Rojelio was a "very smart and loving child".
Annabelle Rodriguez, 10, and Jacklyn Jaylen Cazares, 10
Annabelle and Jacklyn were cousins that died together in the same classroom.
Their family is grieving the loss of two loved ones.
"My little sister didn't make it she's no longer with us my poor sweet little girl," Annabelle's sister wrote on Facebook. "Why god, why these sweet babies who didn't deserve this who were all happy for summer vacation now there dancing up in the sky watching over us."
Eliahana Cruz Torres, 10
Eliahana was among the victims.
Her grandfather said she didn't want to attend the school that tragic day, but was told by her family to go.
Amerie Jo Garza, 10
Amerie's father is a med aid that arrived on the scene of the shooting. He told CNN he was helping a girl covered in blood who told him her best friend was killed.
Her best friend was his daughter Amerie.
She was shot while trying to call the police on the phone she had just received for her 10th birthday two weeks ago.
"She was the sweetest little girl who did nothing wrong," he told CNN. "I just want to know what she did to be a victim.
"How do you look at this girl and shoot her."
Jose Flores Jr, 10
Jose loved playing basketball and video games.
"He was always full of energy," his father told CNN. "Ready to play til the night."
He said he was an amazing big brother to his two younger siblings.
Nevaeh Bravo, 4th grade
Nevaeh Bravo was confirmed to be among the victims.
A person claiming to be the girl's cousin wrote on Facebook: "Our Nevaeh has been found. She is flying with the angels above.
"We love you Navaeh very much princess."
Eliahna 'Ellie' Garcia, 10
Ellie's parents identified her as a victim of the shooting.
"It's hard to issue out a statement on anything right now my mind is going at 1000 miles per hour… but I do wanna send our thoughts and prayers to those who also didn’t make it home tonight!!! Our Ellie was a doll and was the happiest ever," her father wrote on Facebook.
"Mom and Dad love you never forget that and please try and stay by our side."
Alithia Ramirez, 10
Alithia's dad searched for his daughter after the shooting.
He heartbreakingly confirmed her death by updating his profile picture on Facebook with a photo of Alithia with angle wings.
Miranda Mathis, 11
Miranda's death was confirmed by her cousin.
"My sweet baby cousin we loved u dearly I'm so sorry this happen to u baby please keep my family in your prayers," her cousin wrote on Facebook.
According to the New York Post, Miranda's cousin's own kids were also at the school and survived the attack.
One of her children said they heard the shooter say he was going to kill "all the kids".
Maite Yuleana Rodriguez, 10
Maite was celebrated as an honour roll student hours before the massacre.
Her mother's cousin said the family is deeply saddened by the tragedy.
"It is with a heavy heart I come on here on behalf of my cousin Ana who lost her sweet baby girl in yesterday's senseless shooting we are deeply saddened by the lose (sic) of this sweet smart little girl."
Alexandria 'Lexi' Aniyah Rubio
Alexandria's mother said she was recognised for an all-A honour roll and received the good citizen award just before the shooting.
"We told her we loved her and would pick her up after school," her mother wrote on Facebook.
"We had no idea this was goodbye."
Tess Marie Mata, 4th grade
Tess was fatally shot during the massacre at Robb Elementary School.
Tess was in the fourth grade at school and loved to dance.
"My sweet baby sister, I would've never thought I would be typing something like this. I honestly have no words just sadness, confusion, and anger. I'm sad because we will never get to tag team on mom and dad again and tell each other how much we mean to each other, I'm confused because how can something like this happen to my sweet, caring, and beautiful sister, and I'm angry because a coward took you from us," Tess's sister wrote on Facebook.
"Sissy I miss you so much, I just want to hold you and tell you how pretty you are, I want to take you outside and practice softball, I want to go on one last family vacation, I want to hear your contagious laugh, and I want you to hear me tell you how much I love you. Tessy mom, dad, and I won't be the same without you but we are comforted knowing you are waiting for us up in heaven and have a spot for us.
"We have one sassy guardian angel that I know is going to protect our family. Till we meet again Tess Marie, love your Big Sister."
Layla Salazar, 10
Layla was the last of the victims to be identified.
"Yesterday we lost our heart our whole world," Layla's father wrote on Facebook.
"We Love you Baby girl Daddy is sorry I wasn't there to protect you when you needed me the most we Love you so much fly high my little angel fly high."
Eva Mireles, 44
Mireles was one of the teachers killed during the shooting. She has been dubbed a hero.
Her aunt told ABC News she was a teacher in the school district for around 17 years.
"I'm furious that these shootings continue. These children are innocent. Rifles should not be easily available to all," her aunt told the outlet. "This is my hometown, a small community of less than 20,000. I never imagined this would happen especially to loved ones.
"All we can do is pray hard for our country, state, schools and especially the families of all."
Irma Garcia, 46
Garcia was a fourth-grade teacher at Robb Elementary School who died in the shooting.
She had been teaching at the school for 23 years.
Her family told ABC News Garcia and her husband were about to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.
