Ukraine invasion: Russian TV presenter threatens to invade UK and attack Stonehenge

A Russian TV presenter has threatened that Putin's regime will wage war on the west, only stopping when they've invaded the United Kingdom and attacked Stonehenge.

It's the second threat the Russian TV host Vladimir Solovyov, colloquially known as 'Putin's voice', has made against Britain in the last month, having earlier claimed Putin's missiles could bomb the UK back to the Stone Age in ten minutes.

Quizzed on how far west Russia would take its invasion before stopping, he said: "Well, when we have to, then we will."

"Where will we stop? Well, as I was saying today, maybe Stonehenge. Liz Truss says she's the one fighting the war."

Truss is Britain's foreign secretary and is an unpopular figure among Putin's regime having adopted a firm stance on Russia and her determination not to compromise.

Earlier this month, Solovyov claimed on-air that Vladimir Putin's missiles are capable of "plunging the country into permanent darkness".

"Russia’s new Zircon or Tsirkon, weapons system could be deployed to wipe out 50 or 60 power stations," he said.

The TV host's threats to the UK come amid anger over claims the UK is helping provide weapons to Ukraine in a "proxy war" against President Putin.

It's now been more than three months since Putin launched Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
