Two people have been charged after dramatic cellphone footage captured a woman shooting at a car during rush hour in Texas.
Nazly Ortiz said the shooting happened during Tuesday morning rush hour (local time), when she feared for her safety after the victim allegedly almost hit her and her partner with his car.
Ortiz's partner Benjamin Greene was also in the car at the time. When both cars came to stop, Greene allegedly got out and assaulted the driver of the other car.
Footage from a cellphone captured Ortiz using a handgun and firing two shots toward the victim as they drove off.
The victim had his two-year-old son in the car, who was hit by shattered glass but did not sustain any major injuries, ABC13 reported.
The victim told ABC13 he was grazed by a bullet on his head. He said it didn't bleed, but the area is now swollen.
"Victim continued to drive as the female suspect wildly fired a 2nd shot at him. A car dealership building was also struck," Texas sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted.
"Victim was transported to a hospital with a possible graze wound. The male is in good condition. No other reported injuries"
The couple appeared in court on Wednesday (local time), with Greene charged with aggravated assault and Ortiz charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, ABC13 reported.
It is unclear when the couple will appear back in court.
