A daughter has filmed the moment she gave her dying father one last shot of Bundaberg Rum before he died.
Pennelope Anne sat with her mother while her father lay in a hospital bed hooked up to tubes in a palliative care unit.
Anne filmed the process where she pulled out a can of her father's favourite beverage before measuring a small shot with a syringe.
"I came prepared for the send off," she said in the video shared to TikTok, "Give him a little taste here".
Anne's mother leans forward onto the bed and explained that he'll be getting one last shot of his favourite drink.
"We brought you rum dad," Anne says.
"We're going to put it in the injection and put it in your mouth."
Anne then squeezes the shot of rum into her father's mouth "taste good?".
Her father lightly nodes his head before Anne and her mother begin to laugh.
"Hell yeah, hell yeah!" Anne said.
Anne's video captioned 'One last drink with dad before his spirit returned to the universe, until we cross paths again old man. Love you' has been viewed more than 317,000 times, with many sharing their love.
"Everyone deserves family like this around them at the end. I’m so sorry for your loss," one person wrote.
"As a former palliative care nurse, this absolute makes my heart so happy - cheers grandad."
