Footage of the moment King Charles III got angry at a pen tray has gone viral with some saying it was a "priceless moment" which was the "highlight" of the day.
After formally being proclaimed as King following the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III held his first Privy Council meeting, where he sat to sign official declarations.
In the video, Charles can be seen signing one document before moving on to the next one.
It's at this moment, he realises he doesn't have enough space on the table to sign the second document.
Charles grimaces to the side, hinting he would like the pen tray to be removed from the desk, which is quickly done by one of his staff members.
But when Prince William sits down to sign the declaration, he had to ask for the pen tray to be returned.
The moment didn't go unnoticed on social media with one person saying on Twitter it was a "Fabulously characteristic moment".
"Fabulously characteristic moment from King Charles III during the Accession Council as his eyes fall on something modern and unnecessary in his line of vision."
Another person tweeted: "In one of the most transcendental moments of UK's modern History, the signing of the proclamation of the new King Charles III, someone forgot to provide a proper pen. Point goes for #pilotpen. #CharlesIII".
Another person added: "Did Charles just get angry with a plastic pen holder while the world watched him sign his proclamation declaration? Poor William had to ask for it back when he signed?! #KingCharlesIII just like his dad! Love it!"
Someone else said: "Charles' brief fury at the pen tray is definitely the highlight of this for me."
