A man has been arrested after he allegedly ran towards the Queen's coffin at Westminster Hall.
On Friday (local time), the man allegedly bolted towards the Queen's coffin before several security guards and police officers removed him.
"Around 22:00hrs on Friday, September 16 officers from the Met's Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command detained a man in Westminster Hall following a disturbance," Met Police said in a statement.
"He was arrested for an offence under the Public Order Act and is currently in custody."
ITV reported onlookers in the crowd were visibly shocked by the event.
Earlier, King Charles and his siblings stood in a silent vigil around their mother's coffin, as people filed in to pay their respects.
The line to see Her Majesty lying in state was so long, it had to be paused for several hours before it was restarted again.
