Piers Morgan has slammed hecklers questioning King Charles over taxpayer money funding Queen Elizabeth's funeral while he mourns his mother's death.
The Queen died last week and the UK entered an official national period of mourning until the end of her funeral on September 9.
In a video posted on Sky News, the King was questioned by a man during his visit to Cardiff on Friday (local time).
"While we struggle to heat our homes, we have to pay for your parade," the heckler said.
A man who appears to be the King's bodyguard stood in front of the heckler, while King Charles simply sighed as he said "oh" and turned away.
The heckler didn't stop, continuing to press the King.
"We pay £100 million for you - and what for?" he said.
The comments come as anti-monarchy protesters booed King Charles as he greeted crowds outside Cardiff Castle.
Broadcaster Piers Morgan, who is no stranger to speaking about the Royal Family, slammed the hecklers online.
"Imagine doing this to a man whose mother died a few days ago? So disgusting," Morgan said.
His comment was met with conflicting opinions, with some users outraged UK taxpayer money is funding the Queen's funeral while many are struggling with the cost of living.
"Imagine a billionaire thinking the public should pay for his mother's funeral," one Twitter user commented.
"Imagine spending millions on this procession whilst millions live off food banks and in cold and darkness," another said.
While others agreed with Morgan, saying now was not the right time to press the King while he is grieving.
"I feel for him. He's going through so much with the weight of the world on his shoulders," another person said.
