A video of an awkward encounter between King Charles III and the newly-appointed UK Prime Minister Liz Truss has been shared on Twitter for everyone to see.
On Friday (local time) ITV News's royal editor Chris Ship uploaded the video of the interaction and captioned it: "King Charles holds the first of his weekly audiences with Prime Minister Liz Truss. It happened today at Buckingham Palace."
In the video, as the Prime Minister walked to greet His Majesty, he looked less than impressed to see her.
"Lovely to see you again your majesty," Truss said.
The King responded muttering: "Back again, dear oh dear", as they greeted each other.
The meeting was held at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday night (local time) and is set to be a weekly occurrence between the Head of State and the Prime Minister.
People on Twitter were quick to comment on the awkward interaction between the two.
One user commented: "Odd - is he not aware he has to have WEEKLY audiences with the current PM? Or am I missing something?"
Another user commented: "I think he’s expressing surprise that she is still the Prime Minister."
One was confused about what the pair would even talk about.
"What do they talk about? He's not allowed to communicate a political view or even attend an environment summit, something he cares a lot about," one person tweeted.
