TikTok users are scratching their heads after footage of a sedan landing on top of a Mercedes in an Australian mall car park went viral.

While the footage didn't show what happened in the moments leading up to the crash, 7 News said a 73-year-old woman mistook her brake pedal for the accelerator in the Sydney Westfield mall car park.

As a result of the mishap, a 50-year-old man was hospitalised with minor injuries at 9:45am on Thursday, news.com.au reported.

TikTok user @Kelzkitch shared the video to TikTok, which has since been deleted. The user claimed the crash was a result of road rage.

"We were both heading out the boom gates and she wants to try and cut me off again… and ah look what happened to her car.

"Went straight through the boom gate, flew straight past me."

It left TikTok users wanting to know more.

"I need to see this from the security cameras because I'm that nosy," one said.

"How is this even possible[?]" another wrote.

"I honestly don't understand the physics behind this," said another.
