A radio host in the United Kingdom has died in the middle of presenting his breakfast show.
Tim Gough, 55, died from a suspected heart attack while hosting the Monday breakfast show on GenX Radio Suffolk.
Gough was presenting the show from his home in Suffolk when the music suddenly stopped at 07:50 BST before starting again several minutes later.
GenX later confirmed Gough had died of a suspected heart attack during the show. The station posted a tribute on its social media page where it called Gough a "dear friend.
"It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to inform you, our dear friend and breakfast host Tim Gough passed away this morning whilst presenting his program.
"Our love to his family, son, sister, brother and mum. Tim was doing what he loved. He was 55 years old. RIB buddy. X," the company said.
It was a sentiment shared by the station's managing director James Hazell who told BBC everybody was "shocked and devastated beyond words."
"To know Tim personally, as I did very closely for over 30 years, was to know a warm, caring, fun guy who myself and my family loved dearly. We are heartbroken by the news," Hazell told the outlet.
"I know his family are enormously comforted by the hundreds of loving messages that have been received and have asked for privacy at this devastating time."
Hazell said Gough came out of retirement to present the breakfast show. He also confirmed the station would continue despite Gough's death and would be his "legacy".
Fans flooded the station's social media accounts with tributes with one saying they were "heartbroken".
"What horrible news. Condolences to all those who knew him and worked with him," another person said.
"So sad, thoughts and prayers for his family and friends....and the rest of the crew at GenX," someone else added.
