Five lions who escaped their enclosure at Sydney's Taronga Zoo have now been recaptured, officials confirmed.
The lions were roaming the zoo on Wednesday morning before it was open but are now back in their enclosure.
In a statement to 7News a spokesperson for the zoo described the escape as an "emergency situation".
They said the zoo followed "strict safety protocols" and all people on site were moved to safe zones.
"There are no injuries to guests or staff," they added.
The spokesperson said all animals are now back in their exhibit where staff are closely monitoring them.
7News reports the zoo now intends to open to the public as normal.
