Watch: 'Heroic' security guard tackles man with AR-15 at medical clinic in New York

The moment a security guard tackled a man with an AR-15 rifle at a substance abuse treatment clinic in the United States has been caught on camera.

Last week, suspected gunman Jeffery Griffin entered the foyer of the Alba de Vida clinic in Buffalo, New York, and shot at the wall before the unarmed security guard tackled and restrained him, CBS News reported.

Surveillance cameras captured the footage and the Buffalo Police Department released it.

Police said no one was injured.

CBS News reported the security guard pinned Griffin to the ground before another security guard came to help out.

"This could've gotten ugly really quick [but] due to the quick action, [and] quite frankly heroic in my opinion by the two security officers, no one got hurt there," Erie County District attorney John Flynn said, WIVB reported.

CBS News said Griffin was taken into custody.
