A Polish woman has released a string of claims saying she might be Madeleine McCann, who has been missing for 16 years.
Julia Faustyna from Poland, who has also been identified online as Julia Wendell and Julia Wandelt, created an Instagram account this week called @iammadeleinemcann which quickly gained more than 800,000 followers.
Faustyna, 21, has posted about the similarities between herself and McCann and says she has the same freckle on her leg and speck in her eye as the missing UK girl.
"I have a defect in my eye, in the same eye, the kind of defect Madeleine had. Except that in my case it's faded more and more every year," she claimed.
A source close to the McCanns said the family isn't taking any chances and are "willing to look at all leads".
"It is important they look at all of the factors, the girl does look similar. There's no disputing that," the source said, according to the Daily Star.
"If what she says is true, there is every chance it could be her. It all adds up."
Faustyna also shared side-by-side images of herself and McCann's mother Kate, suggesting they are similar.
Faustyna added she has little recollection of most details of her childhood.
"I don't remember being taken away. I mean, I don't remember almost my entire childhood."
McCann went missing when she was three years old after vanishing from an apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, 16-years-ago, sparking one of the most followed missing persons cases in history.
