A woman has been flown to hospital after being attacked by four dingoes while jogging along a beach on Fraser Island.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson told 7News a woman in her 20s ran into the water, followed by the dingoes at about 9am on Monday.

She was bitten and suffered injuries to her limbs and torso, according to Queensland Ambulance Service.

The woman was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital and remains in a stable condition, 7News reported.

K'gari assistant principal ranger Danielle Mansfield spoke with 7News, and believes dingoes are starting to see humans as a source of food.

"Rangers have observed them lingering around camping areas and parked vehicles, and that means they're trying to solicit food from visitors because they've previously been fed," he told 7News.

He believes this is because people have been deliberately or inadvertently feeding the animals with scraps.

"This has to stop now, and people have to make their personal safety and the safety of their friends and family a priority."
