A video shows a building collapsing into a river during severe flooding in Alaska's capital of Juneau.
The flooding came after a major release of water from a glacier-dammed lake, in Suicide Basin on the Mendenhall Glacier.
At least two buildings along the Mendenhall River have been destroyed as a result of the flooding, forcing residents to evacuate from their homes.
Video footage posted on Twitter showed the devastating scenes as the building collapsed before crumbling into the river's current, as a crowd of onlookers watched on.
Glacial outburst floods are known to happen when glaciers melt and release copious amounts of water into nearby lakes and rivers.
It's not the first time the Suicide Basin dam has burst, with a history of severe floodings since 2011.
Water levels have since begun to drop however the city's banks remain highly unstable.
Some roadways remain blocked by debris and silt following the flooding.
