New video footage claims to show Russian President Vladimir Putin's secret hideout near Russia's border with Finland.

The secretive estate has been filmed on a drone and uploaded to YouTube in a video titled 'Putin's Secret Country House.'

The residence features three "modern-style houses on the shore of Marjalahti Bay, two helipads, several yacht piers, a trout farm" as well as land "with cows for marbled beef production".

The property, surrounded by barbed wire, is located just 30km from the border with Finland - a NATO country - and sits on an open section of land nestled amongst dense forest.

"The houses are fenced, surveillance cameras and motion sensors are on the fences and barbes wire is strung through the surrounding forest," the YouTube video said.

A waterfall is also seen in the footage, which the Dossier Center alleges was ''stolen'' by Putin from the Ladoga Skerries National Park.

"There is no doubt the President relaxes here. During his visits, the local security is replaced by FSO [Federal Guard Service] employees, entrances are blocked off and neighboring islands are sealed off,' Dossier Center journalist Ilya Rozhdestvenskiy said in the video.

The Dossier Center also claimed the only way to get to the property was by boat or aircraft. "You can get here not only by air but also by yacht. To do this, Putin has a whole flotilla at his disposal," Rozhdestvenskiy explained.

He added neighbours of the property include Putin's friend Yuri Kovalchuk and former Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich.
