A man in the UK who allegedly raped a young girl is also accused of throwing her brother off a cliff to try and kill him, according to British media reports.

The boy is still alive but was severely injured.

Oxfordshire man Anthony Stocks, 54, is now facing charges of attempted murder, sexual assault and rape.

Stocks allegedly threw the boy off cliffs onto the beach near the southern town of Ovingdean in September 2022.

Stocks' sister told her about his plan and she warned against him doing so, a court in Oxford has since heard.

The girl told the court through pre-recorded interviews Stocks was known to her family and he would force her to perform lewd sexual acts which made her "frightened" and "uncomfortable", the BBC reported.

She told her brother about the events "all in one big go".

The girl also said Stocks told her: "I want to get rid of him [your brother] so we can be alone".

She explained all she could remember was Stocks was going to "push him off a cliff". She then warned her brother of the plan.

Stocks then planned to take the boy away for a trip but the girl warned her brother not to go. He went anyway.

During cross-examination via video link, Stocks' lawyer asked the girl if she thought his client was telling the truth.

"No," she responded, as reported by the BBC.

Stocks denies all charges and the trial continues.
