Broadcaster Paul Holmes' estranged daughter Millie Elder is due in court again on Wednesday, this time facing new drugs charges and an allegation of shoplifting.

She now faces charges in three different courts and a possible jail term.

Police allege Elder was a passenger in a car she co-owns with her Headhunters gang member boyfriend Connor Morris, when the vehicle was pulled over in west Auckland on April 16.

Sunday News reported the car was searched and a set of scales, with methamphetamine residue, was allegedly found in the 20-year-old's bag.

Elder was due to appear in court on Wednesday to face a charge of possession of the Class A drug, which carries a maximum term of six months' imprisonment.

Less than a fortnight after Elder's vehicle was pulled over by police she was arrested again after allegedly stealing a $39.95 scarf from Farmers department store in Papakura, south Auckland.

She was later found by police, who searched her handbag.

"During the search a zip-lock bag containing 1.1 grams of cannabis plant material was found under items at the bottom of the bag," the newspaper reported, quoting a police caption sheet.

A search of Elder's wallet revealed "a small zip-lock bag containing 0.1 grams of clear crystals believed to be methamphetamine and a zip-lock bag containing 0.8 grams of a white powder believed to be methamphetamine", police allege.

Elder, listed as unemployed, will appear in Papakura District Court on May 19 to face two charges of possession of methamphetamine, one charge of possession of cannabis, and one of theft.

She is also due to appear in Auckland District Court on June 29 for a defended hearing related to alleged offending in September last year. The charges are possessing cannabis oil, ecstasy, P, and receiving stolen property worth more than $1000.

Elder's lawyer, Jesse Soondram, told the newspaper he expected a number of charges currently faced by his client to be withdrawn.

In August last year Elder said she was turning her life around and wanted to keep off drugs.

She admitted she had been taking P intravenously since her 16th birthday and every day since her 18th in what amounted to a $7000-a-week habit.
