A Kiwi who rode a drift trike down the world's steepest street says he wants his passion recognised as a "proper sport".
Harley Jolly, 23, reached speeds of around 100km/h on Baldwin St in Dunedin while riding a small trike and video of the stunt has been seen by half a million people.
"This was obviously a bit of one-off stunt, but it's good to get the recognition out and show people it can be done safely even under extreme conditions," he told RadioLIVE."A lot of practice goes into it, doing something along those lines wouldn't be first-time rider stuff."
Mr Jolly admitted there would be "no tomorrow" if the trike hit something during the stunt.
