Super Rugby Champions the Chiefs, ITM Cup Champions Canterbury and of course the All Blacks dominate this year’s annual celebration of the best of New Zealand Rugby.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie and Liam Messam are nominated for Coach of the Year and Player of the Year respectively whilst Canterbury are in line for Team of the Year after their sixth consecutive ITM Cup win.
Messam has also been nominated for the Super Rugby Player of the Year and Tom French Memorial Maori Player of the Year awards.
Rennie joins All Blacks coach Steve Hansen and All Blacks Sevens coach Gordon Tietjens in nominations for what will be a hard-fought Coach of the Year award.
Fans get to have their say for the first time in the awards' history by deciding the Try of the Year award in an online poll.
The 2013 Steinlager Rugby Awards will be held at the Sky City Auckland Convention Centre on Thursday 5 December.
