The final chapter has begun at Dunedin's Carisbrook Stadium.
Demolition work is underway at the former rugby and cricket ground following it's sale to construction company alder Stewart in June.
Diggers are smashing apart the old concrete and steel stands with plastic seating already being removed and sold off for charity.
It is expected to take until Christmas to clear the south Dunedin site.
Only the historic brick turnstiles and hospitality suite will be saved.
