A short time ago Ricky May added his and Terror To Love's names to the record books after a dramatic win in the New Zealand Trotting Cup.
Defending champion Terror To Love botched the start of the race, losing 15 lengths, and it seemed his quest to be the first horse to win three Cups in a row since 1960 was over.
It was enough for trainer Graham Court to hide his head in his hands, but the six-year-old horse was far from done. Mid-race driver May made his move, taking the champ to the lead with 800m to go.
The question then was could he hold on ahead of Fly Like an Eagle and rising superstar Christen Me.
In the end he did, and for May it was win number seven - making him the most successful Cup driver ever.
