The film production company responsible for The Hobbit and The Adventures of Tin Tin is shutting down its film processing lab.
Park Road Post, which takes film from cameras and makes it usable for projecters, says it'll close the lab in June.
The closure is a result of the switch to digital cameras.
The company says 12 jobs will go, but it will try and re-employ them elsewhere in the company, or working at the NZ Film Archive.
Park Road Post is wholly owned by WingNut films, Peter Jackson's production company.
