A new photo of Prince George has been released ahead of his 9th birthday.
The prince turns 9 on Friday July 22 (local time).
The image, which was posted to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's social media, shows the young prince giving a big grin and looking relaxed on a beach.
Much like his father's penchant for blue clothing, George is wearing a blue shirt, with the top two buttons unbuttoned.
The photo was taken by Kate, Kensington Palace said.
Earlier this year, Kate and William shared a photo of their youngest son Prince Louis laughing on a beach in Norfolk taken by Kate, to celebrate Louis's fourth birthday on April 23.
Last year, Kate shared an image of William from a beach in Norfolk in the UK.
Prince George is third in line to the throne.
