Snoop Dogg has taken puffs of an oversized joint at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday (NZ time).
The rapper was on stage for the first time at the event in 17 years alongside his co-star Eminem who returned to the VMAs for the first time since 2010.
The pair were there to sing 'From the D 2 The LBC', which marks their first collaboration in 20 years.
The performance began with the two rappers sitting on a couch, while Dogg smoked a giant joint.
When asked how he'd got it on stage, Dogg told Eminem: "I got connections."
After they appeared to be under the influence, both were transported to a metaverse version of their performance.
As they performed live, the audience saw animated versions of the rappers playing in the metaverse.
"Yo Slim, wake up," Dogg told Eminem halfway through the video.
"We got a show to do."
The song was then finished live on stage.
Elsewhere at the VMAs, Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow won best collaboration for 'INDUSTRY BABY', BLACKPINK won best metaverse performance for 'The Virtual', Taylor Swift won best longform video for 'All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version)' and Harry Styles won album of the year for Harry's House.
Nicki Minaj received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the event, marking the rapper's first onstage performance since 2018, and her seventh performance on the VMA stage.
