Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin have split after being married for 25 years.

Page Six reported the former model filed to dissolve her marriage to the Rocky star in Florida on August 19.

Court documents obtained by the publication stated the marriage was "irretrievably broken".

Flavin also claimed the Rambo star has "engaged in the intentional dissipation, deplete and/or waste of marital assets", which has negatively affected the "marital estate".

She also filed a request to be "compensated and made whole" by receiving more money than Stallone does from the estate.

"While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters," Flavin told CNN.

"I ask for privacy for our family as we amicably move forward."

Stallone also put out a statement to CNN, saying: "I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues."

The pair married in 1997.
