For those thinking the press tour for Olivia Wilde's Don't Worry Darling couldn't get any worse, Harry Styles wants you to hold your beer.
At the film's Venice Film Festival premiere, footage has emerged of Styles seemingly spitting at the feet of fellow actor and cast member Chris Pine as they take their seats for the event.
Footage shared on Twitter seemingly starts off peacefully with Pine applauding the arrival of Styles while seated next to the film's director and Styles' girlfriend, Olivia Wilde.
But as Styles leant in to greet them, he seemed to spit something at Pine's feet, causing the Star Trek actor to cease his clapping and stare at the ground in apparent shock with a bemused expression on his face.
As Styles took his seat next to Pine, he nodded briefly and appeared to smile sarcastically in his direction before turning away with a displeased expression, with Pine smiling wryly in response.
The footage is the latest indication of the reportedly fraught relationships that have emerged between the cast and director of the upcoming thriller.
Earlier on Tuesday (NZ time) during a press conference for the film, director Wilde was asked about the tensions between her and leading lady Florence Pugh on set.
There'd reportedly been unease between the two since Wilde's split from her ex, Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis. He, along with the couple's children, visited the set during filming around the time Styles and Wilde had kindled a relationship.
Rumours have swirled that Pugh wasn't impressed with Wilde and Style's romance, with Pugh noticeably absent from the film's photocall and press conference, which was attended by the director and actors Styles, Pine and Gemma Chan.
It was reportedly due to her catching a flight to Venice from filming Dune Part II but speculation has been rife the spat had played a part.
There had also been tension since Shia LaBeouf recently denied he was fired from the movie. He claimed he quit as he didn't have enough rehearsal with his co-stars and publicly shared videos and text messages with Wilde to back up his side of the story.
