After an enforced three-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Bluesfest Sideshow Season is returning to New Zealand.

New Orleans' collective The Soul Rebels and Friends, along with Talib Kweli and GZA, will play Auckland and Wellington next year.

The group will play Auckland's Trusts Arena on Friday, March 31, before heading to Wellington's TSB Arena on Saturday, April 1.

Southern roots rockers Larkin Poe will play Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch next April, taking the stage at Powerstation, Hunter Lounge and James Hay Theatre respectively.

That tour kicks off on April 13.

American blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Christone Kingfish Ingram will play the Powerstation in Auckland for one show on Friday, April 14.

Tickets for the shows go on sale from Thursday, October 20.
