US shock jock Howard Stern has lashed out at rapper Kanye West, comparing him to Adolf Hitler after his recent anti-Semitic comments.
Stern also criticised those who were defending West's outbursts, saying he was "really tired of people excusing his behaviour."
Speaking on Sirius XM radio, Stern said: "I almost don't want to give any energy to this Kanye West character."
"I don't know much about Kanye West. I'm not big into the rap scene, but, he is, you know - I'm really tired of people excusing his behaviour, by saying, 'Well, he's just mentally ill'."
"Kanye was on the Chris Cuomo show, and good lord, you gotta hear the shit this guy's into. And f**k this mental illness self defense thing that he's into, you know, like, 'Oh yeah, he's just mentally ill. Don't worry about it.'
"If he's so mentally ill, why don't they appoint a conservator over his money like they did with the poor Britney Spears?"
Stern also said the 'Stronger' rapper needed to get used to how he is described publicly after West claimed the media was a "Jewish underground media mafia".
"Guess what, douchebag? When they write about me, they call me the shock jock. You don't have control over - you are a rapper. That is what you are. That's how you became famous," Stern raged.
"If a newspaper article doesn't point out the fact that you're some sort of designer or genius, maybe that's not because they're Jewish, but maybe because they just don't put that much thought into who the f**k you are and what your business is.
"This is so depressing. I mean, Kanye used to be fun crazy. Now he's like Hitler," Stern concluded.
Stern's comments come just one day after it was revealed West is being sued by the mother of George Floyd's daughter after claiming Floyd died from a fentanyl overdose.
The rapper made the comments in a since-deleted podcast, claiming Floyd - who was murdered by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in May 2020 - had died from taking fentanyl.
Chauvin was captured on camera kneeling on Floyd's neck for over nine minutes while Floyd begged to be let go, pleading: "I can't breathe."
West bizarrely claimed the murderer ex-officer's knee "wasn't even on his neck like that".
