Former Friends actor Lisa Kudrow has been spotted on the set of Taika Waititi's upcoming TV show in Wellington.
Production has commenced in the capital for Time Bandits, with parts of Maginnity Street being turned into a 1920s set.
Filming is expected to take place over the next couple of nights, including Wednesday, which could see New Zealand's coldest night in October as an unseasonable polar blast moves up the country.
Kudrow was announced as the lead of the Apple TV series, which is being co-written, directed and executive produced by Waititi.
Jemaine Clement is also involved in the production as an executive producer.
Deadline last week reported the news of Kudrow's involvement, adding that actors Kal-El Tuck, Charlyne Yi, Tadhg Murphy, Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Rune Temte, Kiera Thompson and Rachel House will also star.
The show's expected to run for 10 episodes, with Waititi directing the opening two of the series.
Time Bandits is described as "a comedic journey through time and space with a ragtag group of thieves and their newest recruit: an 11-year-old history nerd."
It is based on 1981's Terry Gilliam-directed movie of the same name, which starred John Cleese and Sean Connery.
