Sportwear giant Adidas is under pressure to take action against Kanye West and his anti-Semitic comments.
A video has emerged of the 'Stronger' rapper bragging he can do anything and the company will not react amid growing criticism of his racist remarks about Jewish people.
The short video clip from the October 16 episode of Drink Champs, a hip-hop community podcast, shows West saying: "I can say anti-Semitic things and Adidas can't drop me. Now what? Now what?"
The podcast has since been deleted.
The video has since gone viral, inciting calls for the German sportswear giant to cut ties with West.
The hashtag 'Boycott Adidas' has been trending on Twitter since October 21 when the clip was posted.
A change.org petition has received over 108,000 signatures online, with several celebrities adding their voices to the cause.
"We, the undersigned, call on Adidas to end its partnership with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, due to his repeated anti-Semitic outbursts," the online petition said.
"By continuing to align itself with a public figure who has revealed himself to be a virulent anti-Semite, Adidas would be demonstrating that it does not care about racism against Jews."
Adidas said on October 7 it would review its Yeezy partnership with West following the rapper causing controversy by wearing a 'White Lives Matter' T-shirt to a Paris Fashion Week show.
"We will continue to comanage the current product during this period," Adidas said in a statement at the time.
Actors including Kat Dennings and David Schwimmer have posted to Adidas, with Dennings stating: "The world is watching, Adidas."
Frozen actor Josh Gad also warned Adidas West was "dangerous".
"This is not a good person. This is a person whose dangerous rhetoric continues to go unchecked. Hey @adidas, is this right? Can he single out a single faith and group of people with hatred and vitriol and it doesn’t matter? Asking for a friend."
Fashion giant Balenciaga has cut ties with West following his comments, which include saying he was going to go to "death con 3 on jewish people" and that he is being targeted by the "Jewish underground media mafia".
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in the US has also urged Adidas to end its relationship with West.
"In light of Kanye West's increasingly strident anti-Semitic remarks over the past few weeks, we were disturbed to learn that Adidas plans to continue to release new products from his Yeezy brand without any seeming acknowledgment of the controversy surrounding his most recent remarks," the group said in a statement.
"We urge Adidas to reconsider supporting the Ye product line and to issue a statement making clear that the Adidas company and community has no tolerance whatsoever for anti-Semitism."
There has also largely been silence from the Kardashian family.
Online pressure is growing on Kanye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian to make a statement about his comments.
But Khloe Kardashian has become the first member of her family to publicly acknowledge Kanye West's anti-Semitism and subsequent scandal.
The 38-year-old reposted a statement from Jerry Seinfeld’s wife Jessica, 51, which said: "I support my Jewish friends and the Jewish people."
As of writing, Adidas has yet to respond to any of the online calls, or the change.org petition.
