Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are at odds with Netflix and their production company over their own documentary series, according to a report.
US website Page Six has quoted unnamed sources from Netflix as saying the couple wants to backtrack on what they want to show the public in the upcoming show.
It further claims they want chunks cut from the series, which has been in production for nearly a year now, but Netflix chiefs have stood by the Sussexes' filmmaking team who are desperate to keep the content.
"Harry and Meghan are having second thoughts on their own story, on their own project," the source said.
Page Six also quoted another unnamed industry source as saying: "Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language. But it’s their story, from their own mouths."
It's the latest claim to hit the series after it was revealed the Duke and Duchess had wanted the show edited after Queen Elizabeth II died in September.
Sources also told Page Six the couple had "actually started rethinking the show" before the Queen died.
"They've made significant requests to walk back content they themselves have provided - to the extent that some Netflix staff believe, if granted, it will effectively shelve the project indefinitely," the Netflix source told the publication.
"Netflix is standing by the filmmakers."
It was January 2020 when Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos said they were interested in involving Harry and Meghan in a production deal after they'd stepped back from royal life.
When asked at an event in Los Angeles, Sarandos said: "Who wouldn't be interested? Yes, sure."
In May, Markle's planned animated series Pearl was axed by Netflix after poor financial results, which forced the scrapping of several planned shows.
The series was set to follow a 12-year-old girl who found inspiration in the stories of famous women throughout history.
