Sting will play the Mission Estate Winery Concert on March 4 2023 as part of his My Songs World Tour.

Organisers say the event will be the former The Police frontman's only North Island performance and tickets go on sale from Tuesday, October 18 at 10am.

The Mission concerts have previously played host to the likes of Rod Stewart, Elton John and Phil Collins.

Sting is a 17-times Grammy award winner and has had critical plaudits poured upon his My Songs tour, with UK paper The Times proclaiming: "Sting remains an undeniably skilled performer with a gold-plated back catalogue".

Sting will also play Christchurch's Arena on March 1, 2023, with tickets going on sale to the general public on October 21.

Sting is the second artist to be announced for the Mission Winery Estate Concert as it celebrates its 30th year.

In September, it was announced Robbie Williams would be playing two dates in 2023.

It will be the 'Angels' hitmaker's first time performing in New Zealand in over five years.

He's due to play the event in the Hawke's Bay in November 2023.
