Musical Wicked is to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a two-week residency in Wellington.
Based on the untold story of the witches of Oz, and set long before Dorothy realised she wasn't in Kansas anymore, the musical has been a smash hit on Broadway.
The show will premiere at the St James Theatre on August 17.
Tickets go on sale from Wednesday, November 2.
The musical has been hailed by The New York Times as "the defining musical of the decade", while Time Magazine praised the work as "a magical Broadway musical with brains, heart, and courage."
The show has won over 100 international awards including a Grammy Award and three Tony Awards.
It has been performed in over 100 cities in 16 countries and been translated into six languages.
