A colourful new competition series about balloon artistry, a peek into Kiwi couples undergoing therapy together and the return of perennial favourite The Block NZ are just three of the reality shows coming to Aotearoa's small screens in 2023.
A raft of new and returning reality series have been revealed as part of the launch of Warner Bros. Discovery ANZ's upcoming new season shows for Three and ThreeNow.
Jacquie Brown will host new series Blow Up alongside world-renowned balloon artist and judge Dave Brenn. The show will see New Zealand’s best balloon artists compete in a series of challenges by turning ordinary balloons into extraordinary works of art.
An inside look into how couples deal with real-life struggles promises to pull the curtain back on therapy as the Aotearoa version of critically acclaimed global hit Couples Therapy arrives.
'In the room' cameras will track the highs and lows of couples in their sessions as a leading therapist tries to save their relationship.
Couples Therapy is a critically acclaimed, global hit about real couples, real therapy, real drama and real breakthroughs.
Vinnie Jones will lead new series Tracked, which is described as "the ultimate game of hide and seek".
Racing across the South Island, eight teams of two will find their physical capabilities and mental skills stretched as they race to avoid being caught by a terrifying elite tracker force on their tails.
The Traitors NZ sees contestants work with and against each other using lies, deception and betrayal to win a nail biting game of elimination in a new whodunnit reality series.
The Block NZ will also return for its 11th season on Three and ThreeNow with Mark Richardson once again host.
Match Fit will also be back, but this time the show will focus on rugby league with new coaches heading up the next season. Previously, World Cup winning coach Sir Graham Henry and rugby royalty Sir Wayne Shelford brought together a team of former All Blacks from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Other 2023 Warner Bros. Discovery ANZ reality shows include Gordon Ramsay's Next Level Chef, Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion, dating show Singletown, Bryon Bay’s Dream Listings, jewellery design series All That Glitters and floristry competition Full Bloom.
There will also be further seasons of Married At First Sight Australia, Married At First Sight USA, The Block Australia, Love It or List It Australia, Couples Therapy, The Great Pottery Throwdown and Celebrity Gogglebox, as well as more from The Real Housewives franchises, Million Dollar Listing and Below Deck.
Warner Bros. Discovery ANZ, which owns Newshub, also revealed a selection of 24/7 FAST Channels will be launched in 2023.
The Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) promises a "new emerging class of video streaming," with the company saying it would "offer a curated, lean-back experience for viewers and another opportunity to unlock the depth and breadth of the Warner Bros. Discovery content catalogue in New Zealand".
