Kora, The Black Seeds, Troy Kingi and Villainy are among the acts who've been added to the Homegrown lineup in Wellington next March.

P Money and Ella as well as Flowidus have also joined the lineup, which already boasts talent including Drax Project, Shihad, Shapeshifter, Sir Dave Dobbyn, SACHI, Gin Wigmore, Mitch James, Ladi6, Katchafire, Lee Mvtthews, Sons of Zion, and Savage.

Organisers say the event will see 45 acts across five stages and is heading towards being sold out, "with the demand for tickets exceeding the expectations of the promoters".

Festival director Andrew Tuck says he's thrilled.

"The response to the first line up we released in October shows that New Zealanders want to see their favourite Kiwi acts on stage this summer and there's still no better place to come together and enjoy the best of Kiwi music than Jim Beam Homegrown.

"We expect the additional acts in the full lineup release will drive up demand for tickets and we'll be tracking towards another sell out.

"This year we've kept tickets affordable and have made it even easier with the payment plan, where people cansecure their tickets before they are gone and pay them off at around $20 a week."

The annual festival will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2023.

It was forced to take a hiatus in 2022 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
