A Wellington drummer has made it two in a row, getting on stage with US band The Killers for the second time since 2018.
In a video on TikTok and on YouTube, a man called Taylor is seen holding aloft a sign during The Killers' Spark Arena concert on Monday.
"I'm Taylor from Wellington," the sign said.
"Can I drum 'For Reasons Unknown'?"
The Killers have a tradition of inviting a fan onstage to play with them during their tours.
"Are you nervous playing in front of all of these people?" Killers singer Brandon Flowers asked, to which Taylor smiled and shook his head.
"OK we're going to arrange this," Flowers said.
Taylor then took over the drums from Ronnie Vannucci Jr as the band launched into 'For Reasons Unknown' from the album Sam's Town.
"These people paid good money to see us tonight," Flowers said to him.
"We gotta give them what they want!"
"How's your right foot, is it strong?" Flowers asked him before kicking into the conclusion of the song.
Taylor from Wellington was a hit with the crowd, with cheers erupting when the song was finished after a major drum flourish.
However, it's believed it's not the first time Taylor's been up on the stage with the Killers.
In 2018 when the band last played New Zealand, Taylor Criscuola took to the stage in Wellington as well.
"Following the recent tradition of Brandon Flowers inviting a fan onstage to play drums during this song, I think the video speaks for itself.
"No staging and no prior contact with the band, the whole thing was spontaneous" he shared in a video on YouTube from the Killers' April 21, 2018 performance at the TSB Arena.
At that concert he also played drums on the song 'For Reasons Unknown'.
The footage was widely viewed in 2018, with fans complimenting his musicianship.
"Best drum cover of this song ever! Congratulations man, you will go far with that talent of yours. Wish you only the best for you and your career," one said.
It's believed Taylor plays in a "nu-punk rock" band called Holloway, who are Wellington-based.
