Lorde has postponed her Solar Power concerts at Havelock North's Black Barn vineyards, saying it's not the right time to be playing in the Hawke's Bay as the region deals with the aftermath of Cyclone Gabrielle.
The gigs were due to take place on Wednesday, March 1 and Thursday, March 2.
In an Instagram Story post, Lorde said it was the "right thing to do."
"Kia ora tātou. Over the past week, I've been following the ongoing devastation in Hawke's Bay. In line with advice from police, the venue, and our promoter, I think the right thing to do is to postpone our Hawke's Bay shows," she said.
"I would love to be there with you right now, but I can also read the room, and taking precious resources away from those who need them right now is not it.
"This is a postponement NOT a cancellation at this stage - I'm working on something, and you'll hear from me soon.
"I'm so sorry you're going through this. Kia kaha."
It's not the first change that's affected Lorde's Solar Power tour.
Her first shows in Lower Hutt's Days Bay were moved to Wellington on February 21 and 22, and will now take place indoors at the TSB Arena on Wellington's waterfront.
When she revealed the news of the Lower Hutt change, Lorde warned there may be future venue changes, saying: "Just wanted to let you know that for this Aotearoa New Zealand tour, venues are potentially subject to change as we get more information about the condition of each venue's site."
Earlier on Monday, Sting postponed his planned Napier Mission Winery Estate Concert "out of respect to those affected by the devastating impact of Cyclone Gabrielle".
