The Duchess of York has seemingly launched a stinging attack on Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, saying the couple "can't have it both ways" and must decide if they're "in or out" of the Royal Family.
While Sarah Ferguson did not directly name Harry and Meghan in an interview with UK newspaper The Independent, it seemed clear her comments were aimed at the pair, who infamously chose to retire from royal life shortly after they were married.
"Well, you can't have it both ways. You can't sit on the fence and keep one foot in and one foot out. You're either in or out," she said when reflecting on the state of the Royal Family currently.
"But then don't cry about not being invited to weddings. You chose to leave, now go and live it - and be it," she said in a wide-ranging interview that took her life in the royal spotlight and her time as an author.
She is currently promoting her new romance novel, 'A Most Intriguing Lady'.
In January 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their 'Megxit' relocation to the US. But since then, a series of tell-all interviews and a tell-all memoir from Prince Harry has kept them in the spotlight and infuriated royalists.
Harry is currently in the UK as part of a hearing over his claim against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers alleging unlawful information-gathering.
There are also questions surrounding Harry and Meghan's attendance at King Charles III's upcoming Coronation on May 6, with the couple indicating they've received "email correspondence" over the ceremony.
They have yet to confirm whether they will be attending.
