New Zealand's Taylor Swift fans are up in arms after the 'Anti-Hero' singer announced a massive Australian tour, but no dates in Aotearoa.
On Wednesday morning, the 'Shake It Off' singer announced concert dates for Melbourne and Sydney in 2024 as part of her global Eras tour.
However, while she's playing five dates in February across the Tasman, there's been no announcement of any dates in New Zealand, angering fans who feel they've been "betrayed."
After unveiling the dates, she posted online saying she "can't wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year," a comment which enraged the New Zealand fans who had been left off the schedule.
"I can't believe Taylor Swift betrayed all of New Zealand," one said.
"Taylor Swift not coming to New Zealand has ruined my day, now I'm probably gonna have to go to Australia to see her by myself like a f***ing loser!!" another wrote on Twitter.
"Taylor swift what did new zealand do to you!?" another lamented.
"I'm sick of taylor swift snubbing new zealand are you kidding me???" another wrote.
Swift last played in Aotearoa at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium in 2018 as part of the Reputation tour.
However, it's definitely bad news for Swifties in New Zealand, with promoters telling Newshub they will need to start saving to travel if they want to see the show.
"Unfortunately, there are no tour dates in Aotearoa. Fans based here will need to fly to Melbourne or Sydney to attend Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour," a Frontier Touring spokesperson said.
Swift is not the only major music act to seemingly shun these shores.
Last month, Coldplay provoked outrage after announcing Australian dates but nothing for New Zealand as part of their Music of the Spheres world tour.
New Zealand's Coldplay fans took to social media to voice their anger the 'Viva La Vida' group doesn't appear to be heading to Aotearoa as part of their world tour, despite playing in Perth.
The group last played Aotearoa in 2016 as part of the Head Full of Dreams tour.
