Benee, Kaylee Bell and Fat Freddy's Drop are to play this year's Rhythm and Alps Festival at Cardrona Valley in Wānaka.
They are among the first 16 acts announced for the event, which kicks off on December 29 and ends on January 1.
The show this year will celebrate the event's 13th anniversary.
The three-day festival welcomes 10,000 partygoers and more than 6000 campers, with just over 40 percent of the attendees coming from outside the region - which organisers say provides a substantial economic boost to Wānaka.
"We are immensely proud of the carefully curated first artist announce for the 2023 event.
"We have worked hard over the years to build an inclusive event, with a little something for everybody - performers and festival goers alike - and 2023 promises to be another exciting and welcoming festival for all," event organiser Alex Turnbull said.
Synthony will ring in New Year's Eve in what organisers say will be a "unique and immersive experience, complete with a magnificent orchestra and fireworks show."
Organisers have promised the lineup for this year's festival will be 50/50 in terms of gender split, with further announcements to prove their commitment to ensuring equality on the stage.
Tickets go on sale from Wednesday, July 26.
