Jurassic Park star Sam Neill has shocked audiences at Australia's biggest TV awards show after he won a major award.
Walking up on stage to accept his accolade for Most Popular Actor for his role in legal drama The Twelve, Neill told the audience he thought "there has been a mistake".
In 2005, Neill won the Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actor, but he took the top honour on Sunday night.
"I think there has been a mistake," Neill said immediately after taking to the stage.
"I haven't actually thought of anything to say, but I thought my name was just there to make up the numbers.
"And, really, I wasn't... Look, there are so many actors in this show that I am not even sure that I was the main actor or anything like that.
"It was just... Look, some of them are here and actually quite a lot of them are here... most of us were in the show and I just happened to be there.
"I don't know why they have given this to me. Maybe it was the wig? Yeah, it was the wig," he said to audience laughter.
Neill also said he was "just so gobsmacked".
"Thank you so much. It is lovely to get another Logie and to be with all of you."
Neill had been up against soap legend Ray Meagher who plays Alf in Home & Away among others in his category.
