Margot Robbie is to pocket an eye-watering sum from the global success of Barbie.
According to Variety magazine, the Wolf of Wall Street actor will net a tidy US$50 million (NZ$83.67m) in salary and box office bonuses, according to three individuals with knowledge of her deal.
Robbie was also a producer for the movie.
Director Greta Gerwig is also to take home a substantial amount but Variety didn't provide details on what her financial compensation would look like.
Barbie has earned around US$526.3 million at the North American box office since its opening over a month ago, also netting US$657.6 million at the international box office.
In New Zealand, Barbie scored $6.3 million in its opening two weeks.
