Bob Marley's eldest son Ziggy Marley is the first act to be announced for the 2024 WOMAD NZ festival, which will take place at New Plymouth's Brooklands Park and the TSB Bowl of Brooklands from March 15 - 17.
Marley had been due to play the 2020 festival but cancelled at the last minute due to family commitments.
Next year's event will be the 21st anniversary of the music festival.
Promoters say more acts will be announced for the festival throughout September and October.
