Pop star The Weeknd is to play a one-off Auckland concert in December as part of his global After Hours Til Dawn tour.
The 'Blinding Lights' singer will perform at Eden Park on Thursday, December 7 after a series of dates in Australia.
A pre-sales period takes place this week before general tickets for the show will go on sale from Friday, September 1.
The expansion of the tour will see The Weeknd aka Abel Tesfaye bring along support acts Mike Dean and Chxrry22. Dean appeared alongside The Weeknd in his controversial HBO show The Idol.
The After Hours Til Dawn tour has broken attendance records in London with over 160,000 concertgoers heading to shows across two nights. It also broke a Wembley Stadium venue record for sales to a "traditional concert set up" with 87,000 tickets sold for one show alone.
Funds from the leg of the tour will be going to the XO Humanitarian Fund, which supports the organisation's response to the global food crisis. Over US$1 million was raised for the fund via ticket sales during the recently wrapped European leg of the tour.
The Weeknd is a United Nations World Food Programme Goodwill Ambassador.
