The five songs chosen as finalists for the 2023 APRA Silver Scroll Award Kaitito Kaiaka have been announced.
Marlon Williams has made the shortlist for a fourth time with his song 'Don't Go Back'. He won the award in 2018 with 'Nobody Gets What They Want Anymore'.
The Beths are also finalists for their fourth time with 'Expert In A Dying Field'.
The awards will be presented at a private event held at Spark Arena in Tāmaki Makaurau on Wednesday, October 4.
Rob Ruha and Te Tairāwhiti choir Ka Hao won the 2022 APRA Silver Scroll Award for the song '35'. The track was written about the highway that runs along the motu's East Coast and gained international recognition after going viral on the social media platform TikTok.
