Logitech G has revealed it will launch a new set of wireless gaming headphones in the first half of 2024.
On Tuesday, the company announced the Astro A50 X Lightspeed wireless gaming headphones were available for pre-order now with a starting price of $799.95.
That price also includes the base station which charges the set. Logitech claimed once fully charged, the battery would last 24 hours when used at 78dB.
The sets will weigh 363 grams and will come in either black or white.
The new headsets are said to come with Playsync Technology which will allow gamers to switch between consoles and PC gaming by pressing a button. Logitech promised the technology would be seamless and that by switching, gamers would see a change in what they view on their TV and what is heard in their headset.
The company also touted the sustainability elements of the new set, saying the A50 X's plastic parts included a "minimum of 35 percent post-consumer recycled content", as well as FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified forests.
The new headsets and base unit are the first new Astro A50 sets in nearly five years from the company. Logitech launched its current gen Astro A50 series in 2019.
Many gamers have been speculating over the past few months about an upcoming fifth generation release, with some claiming the announcement would have been coming in mid-year.
