Chart-topping band L.A.B. have revealed the secret to their success is partially down to a takeaway meal.
Ahead of the release of their sixth album on Friday, the group told AM hosts Melissa Chan-Green and Lloyd Burr their first meeting spurred them into action.
"We set some pretty big goals right at the start when we met," singer Joel Shadbolt said.
"We actually had a pizza and got a vivid [marker] out and wrote out our goals on the pizza box - that was in 2015 when we met.
"We've now set some bigger goals - so we've got a bigger pizza box."
The group, who plays Christchurch this weekend, have teased they have "a couple of shows in winter in the works", but wouldn't reveal more.
