UK DJ Fred Again will be performing two shows for Auckland fans at Spark Arena next week.
Tickets to the shows on Tuesday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 27 went on sale from 1pm via Ticketmaster.
As of 1.05pm on Thursday, both shows were inundated with people desperate to get tickets. A queue system, similar to the one operated in the Taylor Swift Australia pre-sales, showed both shows had around 62,000 people waiting to score tickets for the venue.
It was taking around 35 minutes for those who had entered the queue to get tickets to the shows on both dates. However, by around 1.30pm all the tickets for the shows had sold out.
Earlier on Thursday, the producer hinted Auckland fans would hear of gig details at around midday.
'Auckland I seeeeeees u," he shared to his Instagram story at around 11:15am on Thursday. "Gimme like 45".
It comes after he confirmed yesterday he will be playing at Wellington's Waitangi Park on Friday.
Spark Arena is Auckland's largest indoor arena, and has the capacity to hold more than 12,000 people.
Fred Again's popularity has grown dramatically over the past year, which has seen him play sold-out shows and headline major international music festivals.
The artist, known for his fast-paced and feel-good music, is adored by fans across the globe.
He performed twice in Wellington last year, where he promised fans he would return. He had been booked to perform at Auckland's 2023 Laneway Festival, which didn't go ahead due to the Auckland Anniversary Floods.
